Job location: Willowbrook, IL. Wage: $19.00 per hour. This is a full-time janitorial position with on-the-job training and weekly pay options.

Job Description

The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of the assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary by client and require flexibility to meet client specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Empty and clean all waste containers and remove waste to the designated area; damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean ashtrays, monitor supplies for sand urns, and replenish as required.
• Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceilings, air diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilating components.
• Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and other flat surfaces.
• Wipe and buff metal hardware and fixtures; maintain bright work as needed.
• Clean and maintain tile floor surfaces; clean and buff glass surfaces and entry doors (indoor and outer surfaces).
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, and light switches; clean water coolers.
• Sweep stairs and vacuum carpeted areas; clean building floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock bathroom supplies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral directions.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a janitorial-type position.
