Overview
The Executive Assistant supports the organization’s leadership with a primary focus on the CEO’s needs, including managing schedules, meetings, travel, and all technology and systems that ensure the smooth flow of the organization. This is a Senior Executive Assistant (Full-time) role based in Washington, DC – Penn Quarter, with a hybrid work setup.
Responsibilities
- Manages CEO calendar, scheduling, meetings, travel, expense management and administrative duties as assigned for leadership
- Maintains travel documentation and expense reports
- Interfaces with outside organizations including CEOs, elected officials, donors and the media
- Develops and executes written communications and correspondence with partners, colleagues and team
- Ability to carefully edit and proofread
- Manage and input information into databases, spreadsheets and documents
- Provide standard office operations support (mail, deposits, copies, etc)
- Supports events including organizing materials, managing print production, creating and monitoring invitations and emails, and tracking and summarizing all related data in addition to on-site event support
- Responds to requests for information
- Assists with organizational operations as needed; supports team efforts
Key attributes
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple administrative duties with accuracy and excellence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information concisely
- Highly proficient with technology and various programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, Salesforce, Slack & Asana
- Excellent time management skills, with an ability to take the initiative, work independently, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience communicating with high-level staff including C-level personnel
- Must exhibit professional discretion
Qualifications
- At least two years professional experience in a similar position with exceptional references
- Strong proofreading and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities without constant supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with staff, other organizations, and the public
- Familiarity with public policy, government and technology. Being passionate about education transformation a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range - Commensurate with experience, $90,000-$120,000
