Responsibilities

  • Lead through change as a Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) within the Talent Acquisition (TA) Section, Hiring and Classification Services Unit.
  • Supervise, plan, and organize the work of a Classification Services team and a Hiring and Compensation team.
  • Manage highly complex and sensitive projects related to class & pay (C&P), including hiring, allocation criteria, and compensation processes, ensuring compliance with State rules and regulations.
  • Resolve a broad range of complex issues daily, ensure timely and appropriate responses, and collaborate with OHR colleagues, department liaisons, executive management, and other stakeholders.
  • Work in a telework-eligible environment with periodic in-person requirements at DOJ headquarters in Sacramento as needed for job functions, trainings, and meetings.
