Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead the daily operations of our accounting department. This role oversees financial reporting, accounting records, compliance with GAAP, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, proven leadership, and deep expertise in accounting practices. Location: Rosemont, IL. Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Supervise a team of 3-5 in accounting.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to deliver timely and accurate financial reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with external auditors as needed.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Manage billing, collections, and vendor payments in a high-volume environment.
• Drive process improvements and support ERP system implementation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Develop, document, and refine business processes and accounting policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal reporting standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.
• Experience handling high-volume transactional data with accuracy.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
