Overview
Arena has partnered with a well-established hospitality manufacturing and project services group to identify an experienced Accounting Manager/Corporate Controller. This on-site leadership role in Vernon, CA, offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of accounting, cost controls, and financial strategy for a global supplier serving high-end hotels and luxury projects.
Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle accounting operations, including AR, AP, GL, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Ensure compliance with sales tax, payroll regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Manage cost accounting systems, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Design, track, and process sales commission structures
- Deliver accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for executive leadership
- Guide ERP migration from QuickBooks to Acumatica/NetSuite/Oracle, ensuring data integrity and adoption
- Provide financial insights that align performance with business goals
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles
- Expertise in cost accounting, commissions, and sales tax compliance
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and payroll systems (Paychex)
- Familiarity with ERP platforms (Acumatica, NetSuite, Oracle)
- Ability to manage, coach, and develop accounting staff
Nice-to-Haves
- CPA or MBA credential
- ERP implementation leadership experience
- Hospitality or consumer goods industry exposure

Interview Process
- Step 1: In-person or Virtual Interview (30–45 minutes) with the CEO and external CPA firm
- Step 2: Panel In-Person Interview with the CEO, Plant Manager, Senior Accountant & Operations Manager
- Step 3: In-Person strategy interview with the CEO discussing your 90 day plan
