We are a rapidly growing family- and veteran-owned equipment lease finance company dedicated to helping businesses access the capital they need to grow. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who will manage the company’s accounting operations, oversee and manage a team of accountants, ensure compliance, approve journal entries, review reconciliations, and backup for daily bank reconciliations.


Position Summary


The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including lease accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls. This role will also support audits, manage a team and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience with equipment leasing or financial services, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

  • Manage lease accounting, including booking, amortization schedules, residual tracking, and compliance with GAAP/ASC 842.

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Coordinate and support annual financial audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.

  • Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing coaching, training, and career development.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Prior experience in equipment leasing, financial services, or commercial lending strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
