Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our busy, mid-size insurance defense firm. This full-time role supports attorneys handling personal injury auto and premises liability cases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of civil litigation timelines and due dates.
- Prepare and file pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with state and federal courts (electronic and physical).
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and binders.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Maintain attorney calendars and task lists using Microsoft Outlook.
- Minimum 2 years of legal secretary experience, with a strong background in insurance defense/personal injury.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Calendar/Tasks).
- Solid understanding of civil litigation procedures and deadlines.
- State court experience required; federal court experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Hybrid Schedule: One remote day per week; in-office the remainder.

- Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year
