Legal Secretary - Corporate Practice Group

Full-Time | Legal Support | Corporate Law

Salary: $50,000-$70,000 (Based on Experience)

Benefits: Health, dental, vision, PTO (15 days) and 401(k)

Location: Wheaton, IL

Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a passion for corporate law ? We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to support a dynamic Corporate Practice Group in Wheaton, Illinois. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare and file business formation and dissolution documents
  • Obtain certificates of good standing and EINs
  • Assist with deal closings and manage signature pages, closing certificates, and filings
  • Maintain corporate minute books and statutory filings
  • Draft and file UCC statements, amendments, and terminations
  • Prepare stock certificates, resolutions, and qualification/withdrawal applications
  • Compose closing checklists and manage post-closing documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and legal databases (Westlaw, Lexis)
  • Support with SEC filings (preferred)

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of corporate/transactional legal experience
  • BA degree preferred

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to high-quality service
