Business Office Assistant (Administrative)
Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures. Assist in organizing, planning, and directing administrative activities in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintain minutes of meetings and file documents as necessary.
Serve as a key representative of the community, contributing to community relations, public regard, and overall awareness. Support the Administrator, DON, and Business Office Manager with administrative tasks, including clerical and accounting functions such as cash receipts and ancillary data. May assist with HR and payroll duties.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental personnel and other departments within the facility. Assist in recording incidents/accidents and file according to policies. Support administrative studies and projects as assigned.
Ensure adherence to ergonomics policies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. Maintain adequate supplies of office materials to meet operational needs.
Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, including protected health information, and report any violations or incidents of unauthorized disclosure.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED minimum requirement.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel preferred; typing speed of at least 40 words per minute; knowledge of office equipment.
- Knowledge of clerical functions and computer literacy required.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Prolonged use of computers, sitting, standing, walking, and communication.
Work Environment:
Low to moderate noise level; accommodations available for disabilities. May assist in emergency evacuations.
