Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, floors (vacuuming or washing), removing trash, and dusting/polishing furnishings.
  2. Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas.
  3. Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned.
  4. Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality.
  5. Notify supervisor immediately of safety/security violations or guest concerns.
  6. Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on the housekeeping cart.
  7. Inform the head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready.
  8. Provide superior customer service when interacting with guests.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience providing the required skills.

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Vision requirements include near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Indoor work on hard and carpeted surfaces.
  • Standing for 8-hour shifts.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
