Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, floors (vacuuming or washing), removing trash, and dusting/polishing furnishings.
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas.
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned.
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality.
  • Immediately notify supervisors of safety/security violations or guest concerns.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on the housekeeping cart.
  • Notify the head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready.
  • Provide superior customer service when interacting with guests.

Skills/Experience

  • At least 1 year of housekeeping experience, with good knowledge of standard procedures and techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience providing required skills.

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Indoor work on hard and carpeted surfaces.
  • Standing for 8-hour shifts.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heat.
