What You’ll Do

  • Manage and direct retail associates, conduct store audits, execute and complete all retail projects.
  • Maintain Client objectives by ensuring product(s) are fully stocked, correctly signed, properly faced, and set to schematics.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships including work appointments.
  • Consistently monitor and actively regulate expenses with regard to position and team budget standards.
  • Accurate and timely communication, administrative, and coaching duties with direct reports.
  • Sales and Merchandising: maintain product placement and shelf standards as directed.
  • Assist with new item placement and ensure compliance with client shelf schematic standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree Preferred.
  • 4 years of applicable retail experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple duties with changing deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies. The Retail Supervisor is responsible for achieving and maintaining all Client and Customer standards by overseeing and directing activities of Retail Sales Representatives and Merchandisers within an assigned territory. This role works with Business Development Managers, Clients, Store Managers, and other retail personnel to meet retail objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Development: pursue in-store retail excellence goals, build goodwill with trade and Clients, ensure timely new item retail placement, and complete retail projects.
  • Client Audits: manage and direct retail personnel, conduct store audits, and execute retail projects to meet client goals.
  • Increase brand representation by maintaining trade and Client relationships and conducting client work by appointment.
  • Sales and Merchandising: ensure products are stocked, signed, faced, and aligned with schematics.
  • New Items: place new items in authorized stores to meet business objectives.
  • Shelf Standards: ensure items meet client shelf schematic standards.
  • Call Coverage: oversee call coverage through scheduling merchandisers and reviewing reports.
  • Budget and Expense Control: manage budget to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Administration/Reporting: complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports: Hires, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes and resources.

Indirect Reports: May delegate work and provide guidance and mentoring to indirect reports.

Travel

Travel and Driving: Travel up to 30% is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: 4 years of applicable experience; 2+ years supervisory experience

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized and able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Internet usage
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Work may be in office, field, retail store, or warehouse. May require spending 66%+ of the day on activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and possible cold environments. Occasional travel and driving required.
