The S&P Global Commodity Insights Commercial and CX Graduate Program offers a structured early-career experience with rotations through customer success, sales, channel management and marketing. The program includes onboarding, on-the-job learning, certification milestones, and an evaluation process. The goal is to develop a holistic understanding of commodity markets and to support the sales team while delivering high-quality client solutions.

Location: New York or Houston (hybrid role). Grade Level (internal use): 09.

The program begins with a 5-week onboarding in our London office, followed by a 3-month initial rotation within the NAMER Customer Success Team, focusing on foundational knowledge of commodity markets, CI data, research and analytical products, and training clients on CI products through virtual and onsite visits.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients understand how to navigate and extract useful data from the S&P Global Commodity Insights product range.
  • Liaise with the content, commercial and technical teams to address client queries and ensure data is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Proactively reach out to clients for face-to-face/virtual training (in later stages once fully fluent and certified).
  • Conduct research about important issues at the forefront of energy and commodity markets and present this to colleagues.
  • Support sales teams with research and proposals.
  • Build account overviews and plans to support strategic sales teams.
  • Design data-driven models and templates for clients.
  • Create marketing materials for commercial culture initiatives and future graduate cohorts.
  • Get involved in special project initiatives as determined by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Only candidates who are US citizens or green card holders will be considered for this position.
  • All degrees welcome; concentration in Commercial, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Energy/Commodity or related Business disciplines preferred.
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in learning about commodity markets.
  • Proficiency in Generative AI technologies and the ability to leverage these tools for innovative solutions.
  • Fully matriculated students maintaining a BSc or BA; postgraduates and/or Master’s degree also acceptable.
  • Ability to join a class of new hires in late February 2026.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to diverse clients both in person and remotely.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and manage a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partner with team members; strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
