Anistar Technologies is hiring: Security Technician in Louisville

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems. The position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security equipment, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV systems.

Responsibilities:

• Install and service security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Ensure proper installation, configuration, and testing of all devices.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment as necessary.
• Upgrade systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Perform programming tasks to add cameras, access control devices, and alarms.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints for correct equipment placement.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
• Complete tasks as required to meet daily objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Strong communication skills and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Knowledge of fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 cables.
• Familiarity with IP Video, Storage Solutions, and Analog Video.
• Understanding of NEC and electrical/electronic calculations.
• Experience with S2, Panasonic, Axis, Bosch systems is a plus.
• Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
