Anistar Technologies is hiring: Security Technician in Jacksonville

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems. The position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and closed-circuit television equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform installation and service of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Must be able to install, configure, and test equipment until the final product is complete.
2. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and test equipment and devices, performing repairs as necessary.
3. Perform upgrades and add-ons to enhance system functionality and usability.
4. Enter computer programs to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems as needed.
5. Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
6. Read and interpret drawings and prints to install equipment correctly.
7. Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
8. Be willing to undertake tasks required to complete daily responsibilities.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

1. Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
2. Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
3. Familiarity with the installation and operation of fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 analog and digital cables.
4. Knowledge of IP Video, Storage Solutions, and Analog Video systems.
5. Understanding of NEC standards and electrical/electronic calculations.
6. Experience with systems like S2, Panasonic, Axis, Bosch is a plus.
7. Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
