Anistar Technologies is hiring: Security Technician in New Albany

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The role involves leading teams or crews in installation, as well as performing service tasks for new equipment installation, repairs, and troubleshooting. The technician supports the security solutions business by installing and maintaining electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and service of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Install, configure, and test equipment to ensure complete and functional deployment.
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
• Upgrade systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Program systems to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarms.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints to install equipment accurately.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
• Lead team efforts and delegate tasks appropriately, demonstrating proper techniques.
• Perform any required tasks to ensure project completion on any given day.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Experience with IP-based systems.
• Reliable transportation for travel within the metroplex.
• Knowledge of Software House, Open Options, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Salient, and Lenel systems is a plus.
• Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
