Anistar Technologies is hiring: Security Technician in Pensacola

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems. The position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and servicing of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Install, configure, and test equipment until the final product is complete.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
• Upgrade systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Program systems to add cameras, access control devices, and alarm systems as required.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints for correct equipment installation.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
• Perform other tasks as needed to complete daily objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Familiarity with installation and operation of fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 analog and digital cables.
• Knowledge of IP Video, storage solutions, and analog video systems.
• Understanding of NEC and electrical/electronic calculations.
• Experience with S2, Panasonic, Axis, Bosch systems is a plus.
• Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
