Anistar Technologies is hiring: Security Technician in Abilene

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems. The position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform installation and service of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Install, configure, and test devices to ensure completion of projects.
2. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, re-configure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
3. Install electric strikes and mag locks.
4. Program systems to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarms.
5. Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
6. Read and interpret drawings and prints for correct equipment installation.
7. Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
8. Perform tasks as required to complete daily responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

1. At least 3 years of experience in the Security Industry.
2. Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
3. Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
4. Familiarity with fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 analog and digital cables.
5. Knowledge of IP Video, Storage Solutions, and Analog Video.
6. Understanding of NEC and electrical/electronic calculations.
7. Experience with Lenel, Open Option, and Software House is a plus.
8. Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
