Security Technician Job at Anistar Technologies in Tallahassee

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security (Access Control) Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The technician will lead teams or crews in installation, and perform service for new equipment installation, repairs, and troubleshooting. The role supports the security solutions business by installing and maintaining electronic security systems including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

• • Perform installation and servicing of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related security systems. Install, configure, and test equipment to ensure complete and proper operation.
• • Diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
• • Upgrade systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• • Program systems to add cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarms as required.
• • Collaborate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• • Read and interpret drawings and prints for accurate equipment installation.
• • Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
• • Lead team members, delegate tasks, and demonstrate proper techniques.
• • Adapt to daily tasks as required to ensure project completion.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• • Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• • Good communication skills and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• • Experience with IP-based systems.
• • Knowledge of Software House, Galaxy, DSX, and Lenel is a plus.
• • Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
