Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk/In-Store Grocery Shopper is responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with emphasis on freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store items in optimal temperature zones.
• Follow directions in notes; ensure quality and freshness of items.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone professionally and timely.
• Retrieve customer orders from staging locations and load into customers' cars; ensure order accuracy.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and handle substitutions when items are out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and notify supervisor of issues.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner and maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience:

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
