Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Controller to join their team as an Assistant Controller. As the Assistant Controller you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and mentoring a team of dedicated professionals. Title: Assistant Controller Salary: $90,000-$110,0000 Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development. Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate and assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop comprehensive financial plans. Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Collaborate with the Controller and senior management to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors. Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and non-profit regulations, ensuring compliance and providing recommendations for implementation. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting. Prior experience supervising a team is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
