Accounts Receivable Specialist , you will play a vital role in supporting the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, grant tracking, and revenue reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nonprofit funding structures, including restricted and unrestricted funds, and a passion for making an impact through precise financial management. Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable Specialist: Prepare and submit invoices for grants, contracts, and services in full compliance with funder and contract requirements. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with funders and partners on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection and positive cash flow. Properly allocate incoming revenue across various funding streams, programs, and cost centers (restricted and unrestricted). Maintain detailed and organized documentation to support internal audits, external funder reviews, and financial reporting. Collaborate closely with program managers, funders, and the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies and verify data accuracy. Support month-end close by preparing AR-related entries and contributing data for financial reports and audits. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or billing, preferably within a nonprofit or government-funded environment. Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting practices, including fund tracking and grant compliance. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (MIP, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision. This
