This position is 100% ON-SITE at a cleared facility located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC (parking will be provided at no cost). As an Entry-Level Declassification Analyst, you will work on-site at a government facility at the Washington Navy Yard, in the District of Columbia, in support of the Navy's Declassification Program. Responsibilities

• The Analyst will be trained to conduct initial declassification reviews in support of the U.S. Navy, and analyze unclassified and classified documents to determine the appropriate actions in accordance with the precepts and protocols set forth during their training and certification
• The Analyst will be instructed in the understanding of classified document markings and symbols, and apply said knowledge to the different types of documentation assigned
• The Analyst will utilize analytical skills to make determinations on documents for release, referral to other agencies, and exemption from automatic declassification
• The Analyst will recognize possible nuclear weapons and intelligence information requiring further review
• The Analyst will be able to properly handle boxes and documents (boxes can weigh between 15-25 lbs.) and ensure that the integrity of the contents of each and every archival box remains intact

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Candidate must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Education, Skills, And Experience

• One of the following is required:
• A Bachelor’s Degree (or proof of anticipated near-term completion)
• OR 4 years of related military experience (e.g., intelligence analysis or classification analysis)
• OR 2+ years of experience performing declassification analysis based on Executive Order 13526
• Ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and adjust to established work patterns and processes as required

Starting Salary

The entry-level Analyst's beginning salary is $63,000 per year, often leading to $67,650+ per year by the middle of their second year.
