Warehouse Supervisor – Hardware & Buyouts role at Ameritex Machine & Fabrication. Ameritex is a high mix, quick turn, ISO 9001:2015 certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility serving energy, power, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace markets. The company operates a 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and manage the hardware and consumable operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely support for production and assembly across the North and West facilities. This role drives improvements in material flow, inventory accuracy, and team performance while utilizing ERP/MRP systems to meet production demands. The Warehouse Supervisor focuses on leadership, process optimization, and long-term project execution to support company growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient material flow and support production schedules.
- Supervise and develop warehouse team members, including Receiving Clerks and Material Handlers.
- Implement and oversee ERP/MRP processes for material tracking and planning.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and stock rotation.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Create and manage daily, weekly, and long-term task plans for the warehouse team.
- Collaborate with Production, Assembly, and Purchasing to ensure materials are available and delivered on time.
- Provide regular reporting on KPIs and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse supporting production and assembly.
- Strong familiarity with hardware and consumables (must provide examples).
- Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (must provide examples).
- Strong background in inventory management and controls.
- Excellent task management and organizational skills.
- Experience managing long-term projects (months/quarters).
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may be required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
