About the role
Lead the transformationof the maintenance storeroom to a best-in-class and reliable service to ensureavailability of the right parts at the right time. Support maintenance andoperations by establishing the policies and procedures needed to maximizematerials efficiency and optimize maintenance costs. Standardize the purchasing and receiving ofMRO goods and services and partner with maintenance and operations planning toensure availability of the right parts, at the right time, at the right cost.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, analyze and restructure the MRO storerooms for optimal use Monitor and manage the inventory of Maintenance Replacement Operating (MRO) components to ensure critical spares are available in the right quantity at the right time. Update unit costs of components in CMMS (or interim system as applicable) Identify part or component technical requirements per asset, and develop bill of materials for critical equipment Contact appropriate vendors for pricing and availability of components (obtain quotes) Issue purchase requisitions for equipment, parts, instrumentation and /or the services of contractors (material handling and aerial lifts) Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators to assess MRO Storeroom performance Train maintenance personnel on effective storeroom practices and parts management Manage Inventory - Develop and optimize order points, quantities and lead times Identify low/ no stock inventory items Receive goods through CMMS/ERP Physically transport and store materials in designated storage locations, update CMMS locations as required Issue materials to maintenance technicians as required Supports CMMS (Emaint) system upgrades Maintain MRO storage locations in accordance with site 5S standards Ensure accurate accounting of received components and documentation Update component information in CMMS as needed Oversee and perform the cycle counting efforts for maintenance storerooms and satellite storage areas Report on variances and resolve discrepancies. Maintain inventory of critical spare parts at desired min/max levels, optimizing levels for cost effective operations Ensure the site's safety and maintenance policies are being adhered to in the operation of the maintenance warehouse.
