Job Title: Accounting Manager

Our client is a leading organization in the Baltimore area with a strong reputation in the construction sector. Known for their commitment to operational excellence and innovation, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Accounting Manager to join their leadership team.
Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with deep experience in construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial procedures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure accurate job costing and financial tracking.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support external audits and tax filings.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA Required).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in manufacturing and/or construction accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
