Basic Functions

The Sourcing, Procurement, and Logistics Manager leads Cambrian's end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and logistics operations to ensure the organization secures the materials, equipment, and services necessary to meet operational and project requirements. A core focus of this role is driving cost efficiency through proactive vendor negotiations, structuring agreements that deliver the best value while maintaining quality and reliability.

This position is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies, leading competitive negotiations with suppliers, optimizing contract terms, and managing supplier performance to achieve measurable cost reductions and long-term savings. The role also oversees logistics activities to ensure timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, this leader ensures that sourcing and procurement strategies align with project schedules, quality expectations, and operational needs. Additionally, the manager drives vendor collaboration, logistics planning, and risk mitigation to maintain a resilient, cost-effective, and responsive supply chain. Typical Duties

Work with the engineering team on process equipment parameters and purchasing requirements. Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions that reduce costs while maintaining quality and reliability. Ensure all purchase systems and equipment arrive on-site, are successfully processed through the site receipt process, and are entered into a site inventory. Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets for multiple projects and operations. Identify, qualify, and establish relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers to secure the best value and performance. Negotiate contracts, supplier agreements, and service terms to ensure reliability, flexibility, and responsiveness. Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation planning, scheduling, and carrier performance. Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and operations leaders to forecast demand, manage lead times, and align material availability with project milestones. Monitor supplier performance, initiate corrective actions, and lead performance review meetings. Manage inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess stock while ensuring supply continuity. Direct logistics problem-solving for issues such as delays, shortages, or transportation disruptions. Ensure all sourcing, procurement, and logistics activities comply with corporate governance, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing efficiency, supplier quality, and logistics reliability. Mentor and develop procurement and logistics staff to strengthen organizational capability. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP) preferred. 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or logistics. Demonstrated success in developing and executing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships. Proven experience overseeing logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and vendor coordination. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with procurement systems, logistics management tools, and ERP platforms. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence at all organizational levels. Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices, supply chain risk management, and regulatory compliance standards.
