Process Engineering Intern
to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing process improvement, risk reduction, and operational efficiency. This internship provides exposure to real-world engineering projects that support quality, safety, and productivity on the plant floor, offering meaningful preparation for future professional employment.
Accountabilities
Review high-risk failure modes and their detection/prevention controls to ensure proper risk reduction for customers. Develop shared loading and capacity overviews for equipment and tooling based on historical production and future-state projections, providing recommendations on area consolidation, capital expenditures, and staffing. Conduct time studies and process reviews to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, cycle times, and operator requirements. Create, review, and update work instructions to support training and consistent operations. Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to process and quality issues. Support continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations. Qualifications
Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to adapt to a manufacturing environment with exposure to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis or CAD software is a plus. Ability to take direction, work independently when needed, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
