Volunteer IT/Data Coordinator
to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience managing and supporting critical cloud-based platforms and user data for a global non-profit organization. You will directly help ensure our remote teams have the technical tools they need to empower women worldwide. requested Reports to Executive Director or Volunteer Operations Manager Position Summary The Volunteer IT/Data Coordinator will provide essential technical assistance, manage user accounts, and maintain data integrity across the organization's primary software platforms. This role is focused on the practical application of IT support and software administration, ensuring smooth operations for our staff and volunteers. Key Responsibilities Software and User Support User Management:
Create, configure, and manage user accounts and access permissions across all core platforms, including
Google Workspace
(Gmail, Drive, Calendar) and
Microsoft products
(e.g., Office applications). Tier 1 Troubleshooting:
Serve as the initial point of contact for remote volunteers experiencing basic software or application issues, providing troubleshooting and guidance. Technical Documentation:
Create and update easy-to-follow technical guides and tutorials for common software procedures (e.g., setting up two-factor authentication, using shared drives). Data and System Management Database Integrity:
Assist with data clean-up and entry projects within our organizational databases and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure accuracy. System Administration:
Manage shared drives, group emails, and basic security settings within the
Google Workspace
environment. Asset Tracking:
Help track and manage licenses and subscriptions for various cloud-based software tools. Security and Compliance Protocol Adherence:
Assist in ensuring all user setups and data handling practices adhere to basic security and privacy protocols. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Technical Interest:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in
Information Technology, Computer Science , or a related technical field. Familiarity with non-profit
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
systems (e.g., Salesforce, Little Green Light). Platform Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience working with and troubleshooting
Microsoft Windows
and
Microsoft Office products . Basic experience with IT governance or user security best practices. Software Management:
Practical experience setting up and managing user accounts within
Google Workspace . Experience creating simple technical documentation for non-technical users. Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and clear communication. Values:
