About this Job

This position will assist in the creation and delivery of staff development activities for both OMV and PTA employees. This will include training manuals, policies, and procedures while complying with Federal regulations and department policies and procedures.

This vacancy is located in Baton Rouge at the Office of Motor Vehicles Headquarters in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources, or administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Assists in revising and developing courses to be delivered.

Delivers in their entirety, regularly scheduled and recurring courses of instruction.

Prepares visual aids appropriate to the course materials.

Assists in the maintenance of agency-wide training records.

Provides assistance to higher-level Training and Development Specialists.

Performs any other duties required for the operation of the agency.
