Office of the Managing Director / Constituent Services
Why does the job exist?
The Senior Constituent Services Coordinator position at PED exists to provide high level support, training, and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this position is responsible for tracking data on all constituent in reach, analyzing the data, and providing leadership with reports on performance and where there is room for improvement.
How does it get done?
Ensures policy and procedure compliance for both internal and external stakeholders
-corresponds with local education agencies (LEAs) and supports with policy and statute questions -develops and delivers training to external stakeholders on department policies and requirements that apply to LEAs -develops and delivers training to all internal staff as requested by leadership -answers calls and emails from constituents specifically in relation to Licensure policy, procedure, and statute
Develops performance metrics to analyze department effectiveness at addressing constituents needs
-uses department available tools to design a tracking system to share data on all in reach, time to respond, and satisfaction of constituent
Uses developed tool to analyze and provide data on performance to leadership
-reviews data daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly -provides updates to direct supervisor and other members of leadership as requested -suggests and implements improvements and solutions when data shows sub-par outcomes -shares data with other staff as requested

This position serves the interest of our broad constituency, including but not limited to educators, students, families, and other community and education stakeholders. In addition, this position supports internal and inter-agency functions in service to the constituent services team, the Office of Managing Director, and the Office of the Secretary.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position:
-have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a customer service environment -have prior experience in a fast paced office and/or customer service environment -have knowledge of educational initiatives in New Mexico -have prior, above basic experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree and three (3) years of experience in program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico's Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
