Windows and VMware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Windows and VMware Administrator with 10+ years of hands-on experience managing complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server infrastructure, VMware virtualization technologies, and related systems architecture.

Key Responsibilities • Administer, monitor, and support Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments. • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, DRS, HA, vSAN, etc.). • Design and implement virtual infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions. • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization for virtual machines. • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services. • Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veritas ,Veeam). • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and virtualization issues. • Automate tasks and infrastructure management using PowerShell and other scripting tools. • Participate in on-call rotation and provide L3 escalation support.

Required Skills & Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualization. • Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi environments. • Strong understanding of Windows Server infrastructure, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP. • Hands-on experience with VMware tools: vMotion, DRS, HA, snapshots, templates. • Experience in backup and recovery strategies using tools like Veeam, Veritas, or similar. • Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell required). • Familiar with patch management and update strategies (WSUS/SCCM) and vulnerability fixing. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Added advantage: Linux Skillset: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS) Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure. Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Monitor system logs and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Work with the security team to apply best practices and compliance standards.

Salary Range- $110,000-$130,000 a year
