Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities across Shield Technology Partners' portfolio companies. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects to drive top-of-funnel growth. The BDR will work hand-in-hand with our MSP partners to execute outbound campaigns, build a healthy pipeline, and secure qualified discovery meetings for our partners.

This role offers significant upside potential tied directly to sales performance.

This role requires up to 10% travel to support partner sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Work hand-in-hand with MSP partner sales teams to execute outbound prospecting campaigns and drive new logo growth. Identify and engage potential customers through research, calls, emails, and digital outreach. Qualify leads and uncover prospect needs to ensure a strong fit for partner solutions. Schedule and confirm qualified discovery meetings for partner sales teams. Understand and convey the value of our Partners portfolio of services Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline visibility for both Shield and partner stakeholders. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

2+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role (IT services or MSP experience a plus). Proven track record of generating qualified pipeline and exceeding activity targets. Self-motivated hunter mentality with resilience and persistence to drive results. Strong communication and consultative skills to engage decision-makers and build trust. Highly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detail. Proficiency with CRM systems and basic sales automation tools. Preferred

Prior experience with IT MSPs / service providers. Experience in large roll-up or buy-and-build platforms.
