Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina healthcare jobs) Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 - End: 1/19/2026) Shift:
3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 - 19:00) Hours per Week:
36 Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1530 - $1640 On-Call:
Up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks Weekend Requirement:
Up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks Holiday Requirement:
At least one major holiday period (Christmas or New Year's) Floating:
May float within scope to meet facility needs Charting:
EPIC electronic medical records Scrub Color:
Provided Parking:
On-site garage with minimal registration fee Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license (must be active prior to start) BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred) Radiation badge (provided by agency) Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (2 years strongly preferred) Experience in Level I Trauma Center preferred Scrub nurse experience strongly preferred Ability to work on-call, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Willingness to float to similar units as needed Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver perioperative nursing care in a busy, 21-suite Main Operating Room covering all surgical specialties: trauma, transplant, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a Level I Trauma Center Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent surgical needs Float to other nursing units within scope as required Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols Support the hospital's mission as a Magnet-designated, academic teaching facility
