Description

Coming October 2025 (Pending Funding): Educator / Group Facilitator - HEART Program

Washington, DC | Hybrid / On-site Strong families and thriving communities begin with healthy relationships. But for many fathers, young parents, and youth in DC, opportunities to learn the skills of communication, conflict resolution, and emotional awareness are rare.

As an

Educator / Group Facilitator

with the

HEART program , you will change that. You'll lead group sessions that don't feel like classes-they feel like conversations. A father learning how to manage conflict without anger. A teen discovering how to express emotions safely. A young parent practicing better communication with a partner.

Every circle you facilitate is more than a group-it's a safe, inclusive space where participants can build the skills to strengthen their families and shape their futures What You'll Do Lead HEART sessions

on communication, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and relationship health. Facilitate groups using

interactive, trauma-informed methods

that encourage peer learning and behavior change. Coordinate logistics-materials, space, guest speakers-and ensure accessible, engaging sessions. Build trust and follow up with participants to reinforce learning and provide guidance. Maintain attendance, evaluations, and session feedback for program reporting. Promote HEART through outreach and partner with community organizations for referrals. Qualifications

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Counseling, Public Health, or related field. At least 1-2 years of

group facilitation or adult education experience . Strong communication and cultural responsiveness, with the ability to engage diverse learners. (Preferred) Lived or professional experience with fathers, parents, or youth; bilingual fluency; familiarity with HEART or similar curricula. Why It Matters

Teaching healthy relationships is prevention at its best. By guiding participants through these conversations, you'll help break cycles of conflict, strengthen families, and open doors to healthier futures. Each session you facilitate becomes a step toward stronger homes, safer communities, and empowered lives.
