Pay Information $2,373 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required License: In-state license required prior to start date Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate course required, can be pending before start Must-Have: - L&D travel experience - Familiarity with patient diagnosis and care in Labor and Delivery - Strong skills in administering blood and blood products, neonatal resuscitation, and managing complications during labor and delivery Description: The role requires expertise in Labor and Delivery nursing. You will be expected to provide care for patients during labor and delivery. The position involves assisting with high-risk deliveries, managing complications, and performing assessments. You will support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery protocols. Skills in fetal monitoring and management of medications are crucial. The ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is essential. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Assistance with newborn care and assessments will be required. Collaboration with other departments, such as pharmacy and respiratory services, is expected. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. Flexibility to float to other areas as needed is a requirement. This position may require working on holidays and weekends. You must be able to manage a workload that fluctuates based on patient census.
