Upward Bound Program Coordinator

The Upward Bound Program Coordinator assists with program management, academic year and summer college advisement/advocacy, curriculum and program design, and university and outreach efforts. Assist with the recruitment, selection, enrollment, advisement, and follow-up of the total funded number of program participants for the TRIO Upward Bound Program. This individual, in conjunction with the Program Director, plans the Saturday and Summer College curricula, services, and activities. Also assist in planning, supervising, and evaluating academic year and summer program field trips, events, programs, and services. The Upward Bound Program Director supervises the Program Coordinator. Occasional night, weekends, and in/out of state travel as the role demands. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience): A Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field and three years' related experience required. Demonstrated commitment to addressing diversity concerns as well as sensitivity to individuals who have limited income and/or are from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. Training and/or experience in student assessment, program evaluation, and knowledge of TRIO are desirable. Valid driver's license required.
