Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool ICU/CCU position requiring a CO or compact RN license and strong critical care skills.
Responsibilities Work within ICU and CCU as part of a hospital float pool Float assignments may be to any facility within a 60-mile radius of the original assignment location Care for critically ill adult patients in intensive and coronary care units 12-hour night shifts Use of Epic charting system Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, implementing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Expected to float to multiple facilities within defined zones as needed Must adhere to facility standards, policies, and the State Nurse Practice Act Involvement in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning Annual flu vaccination required during flu season; only medical exemptions allowed (signed by physician), no religious exemptions permitted
Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred At least one year of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred Active AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required Only AHA-issued certifications accepted Experience with Epic EMR preferred Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
