Continuous Improvement Specialist

Nailor Industries, Inc. is known for our industry leading customer focused approach to providing innovative commercial and industrial HVAC products. Nailor manufactures a unique and comprehensive line of products including Air Control & Distribution products, VAV Terminal Units, Green Building products, Fan Coil Units, Electric Duct Heaters, Sound Attenuators, Air Handling Units, and Filter Housings. Our primary manufacturing facilities include multiple sites in Houston, TX and employ 700+ Operations employees. We are currently in search of a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. Apply lean methodologies and process improvement techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will provide training as part of the deployment work with our manufacturing sites. You will help lead projects in all aspects of the business focusing on continuous operational improvement of processes, waste reduction, and problem-solving methods using lean principles, tools, concepts, and methodologies. Assist in identification, prioritization, and selection of potential projects in all functional areas of the business to optimize processes. Essential Job Function

Supports establishment of a Continuous Improvement culture Develops and supports the continuous improvement approach and plan Provides leadership and coaching for plant resources necessary to help increase rapid results through good technical problem solving and reliability improvement Evaluates and prioritizes potential improvements based on value and required effort Serves as consulting and teaching resource for implementing new methods and processes Establishes a structure for the ongoing training and development of employees Uses Lean/CI tools to minimize sources of waste Facilitate cross functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives Develops process flow & value stream maps for key processes Coaches and develops a problem-solving culture at all levels of the organization; implements permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of reoccurrence Champions root-cause analysis and corrective action in support of permanent improvements Conducts problem solving sessions for the key issues with the team members and builds action plans Uses appropriate measurement, analysis, and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document improvements Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Technical field or equivalent experience Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred 5+ years manufacturing experience preferred Full working knowledge of Lean concepts Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills with ability to interface across shared services functional areas and business operations at all levels of the organizations Comfortable facilitating Lean events and coaching others in Lean methodologies Proven record of implementing and inspiring continuous improvement culture in an organization Ability to build teams and influence outcomes without direct line of control
