This role is rooted in California. Candidates must currently reside in California and have the ability to travel as needed for customer visits, meetings, industry events, etc. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Collaborate with the SVP of Sales and Marketing to define and achieve strategic sales and profitability targets within assigned and prospective customer bases, market segments, and regions Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities both within existing accounts and by engaging potential new clients. Develop and deliver compelling, tailored presentations to current and prospective customers Performance Analysis & Execution Analyze sales performance data to design targeted programs that drive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives Manage the full sales account lifecycle, from order entry and product allocation to logistics coordination and delivery confirmation Market Insight & Competitive Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitive pricing, product innovations, and customer strategies to inform sales tactics and ensure sustained growth Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the Customer Support team and other internal departments to create a seamless and exceptional customer experience Industry Representation
Represent Rocket Farms Inc. at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings, strengthening existing relationships and forging new ones Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives Business Travel Requirement
This role requires approximately 20-25% travel Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
B.S. or B.A. in Business or a related field preferred, but not required 5+ years of sales and account management experience in consumer goods or the grocery industry; strong preference for floral, produce, or perishable category experience Proven track record in driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets A strong drive to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic business environment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively across diverse teams Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Experience using CRM, EDI, syndicated scan/category management data, and other sales management tools ERP system experience (NAV preferred). *Range: $100,000 - $145,000. The compensation range for this role is determined by factors such as location and required skills. The salary range provided reflects the lowest to highest amount we reasonably anticipate paying for this position at the time of posting. Compensation is influenced by labor market conditions and various factors, including but not limited to: the prevailing minimum wage in the area, relevant education, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and business needs. It is not typical for a new hire to be offered the highest end of the salary range. Pay decisions are made based on the unique circumstances of each candidate and position.
