Base salary of $130k to $150k Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned
Controller
to lead the financial operations of our growing union construction client. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and driving financial strategy in alignment with company goals. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Oversee cash flow, treasury functions, and liquidity planning
Review project profitability and financial projections
Ensure accurate payroll and union reporting, including WA excise taxes
Maintain internal controls and compliance with GAAP
Supervise AP/AR, payroll, and accounting staff
Collaborate with project managers to assess job cost performance
Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership and stakeholders
Support audits and tax filings (Federal, State, Union)
Required Qualifications Minimum
5 years' experience
as a Controller in the construction industry
CCIFP Certification or CPA
required
Proficiency in
Sage 100 Contractor
software
At least
3 years' experience working for a union contractor
Strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and union payroll
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems

Experience with strategic planning and financial modeling
Pay Details:
$130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
