We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to draw blood and perform specimen processing in an IOP setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, accurate data entry into our computer system, preparation of samples for testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical areas. The position encompasses both pre- and post-analytical testing responsibilities and may include specified analytical testing assignments, while adhering to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
Draw blood and collect biological specimens from patients.
Ensure proper entry of specimen data into the computer system.
Prepare samples for analytical testing.
Distribute specimens to the correct analytical areas.
Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
Follow the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of prior phlebotomy experience (donor and MA experience not counted).
Proficiency in blood draw and specimen processing.
GED or High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in laboratory settings.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple Medical Assistants.
Work Environment
The position is located at a facility in Chandler, AZ, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a temporary role covering medical leave from September 1 to December 1, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position. Pay and Benefits
