Overview
A global leader in fermentation and biotechnology is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join its team at the Dothan, Alabama site, where safety, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being are top priorities. This role leads environmental, health, and safety programs across two production facilities, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. The EHS Manager will drive a proactive safety culture, lead audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, and manage environmental reporting and PSM compliance. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all environmental, health, and safety programs across two production facilities, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies. Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees and contractors, maintain OSHA logs, and lead internal safety audits and the plant safety committee. Oversee environmental compliance efforts, including reporting to federal and state agencies such as the EPA, ADEM, and ADECA, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes. Drive continuous improvement in safety culture by implementing new policies, updating safety procedures, and serving as a resource for corporate and cross-divisional safety initiatives. Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance efforts, ensuring all aspects of chemical and process safety are effectively managed and documented. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline is required. 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a chemical or process manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and PSM regulations, with demonstrated ability to lead compliance efforts and interface with regulatory agencies. Relocation support available for candidates who are not local to the Dothan, AL area. Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Seniority level
