Scholarship Program Manager (Open)

The Scholarship Program Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, administration, and management of institutional and donor-funded scholarship programs. This role serves as a critical liaison between academic leadership, financial aid, and external donors to ensure effective delivery of scholarship funds and alignment with academic and engagement requirements. The manager also provides holistic student support to scholarship recipients, ensuring compliance with program expectations and successful student outcomes. The incumbent will report to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and proactively engage and manage relationships with donors, parents, faculty and staff, student, and affinity group philanthropy. Program Coordination and Delivery Serve as the primary point of contact between academic departments, financial aid, and institutional leadership to coordinate scholarship award disbursement and program compliance. Ensure scholarships are awarded and disbursed in a timely manner, in alignment with donor intent, institutional policies, and financial aid regulations. Partner with Financial Aid to verify student eligibility, resolve award discrepancies, and ensure seamless processing of scholarship funds. Donor and Grantor Reporting Monitor and track scholarship recipients' academic performance, participation in required activities, and adherence to program benchmarks. Develop and submit timely reports to donors, grantors, and other stakeholders, highlighting student participation, impact metrics, and program milestones. Coordinate student thank-you letters, testimonials, and event participation to strengthen donor relations and stewardship. Student Management and Support Provide ongoing advising and support to scholarship recipients to promote retention, academic success, and program engagement. Organize and lead scholarship orientations, workshops, and recognition events to foster a sense of community and accountability among scholars. Address concerns or challenges faced by students, connecting them with academic, wellness, and financial resources as needed. Liaison and Communication Facilitate regular communication with academic leadership, department chairs, and student support offices to align scholarship programs with institutional goals and academic priorities. Maintain accurate scholarship program records, databases, and documentation for audits and institutional reporting. Support cultivation and stewardship activities related to scholarship donors in collaboration with Advancement and Development teams. Education A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Experience Two to five years of experience in program management, project management, scholarship management, student support services, financial aid, or donor stewardship. Other Applicants may be required to complete the institution's required skills assessment to be considered. Some positions require specific skills such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, email or calendaring software, and Internet proficiency.
