Base pay range
$56,000.00/yr - $106,000.00/yr Talent Acquisition Specialist - Leadership Hiring [HCL Tech (Infra)] L3 Network Consultant Responsibilities
Analyze client requirements to design scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions. Develop detailed network diagrams and documentation for both current and proposed infrastructure. Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Advise clients on best practices, future-proofing strategies, and technology upgrades. Conduct site surveys and provide detailed Bills of Materials (BOM). Order new hardware based on site-specific requirements. Execute complete network refresh projects, including the addition of new hardware and removal of EOL/EOD equipment. Implementation & Configuration
Deploy and configure all network equipment including L3 switches, L2 switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN devices. Implement routing and switching protocols to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Troubleshooting & Support
Handle escalated issues from L3 teams, including major incidents and complex outages. Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions. Security & Compliance
Configure and maintain firewalls and access control policies to ensure network security and compliance with standards. Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Monitor network traffic and performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Silverpeak Orchestrator, Cisco ISE, and Cyber Vision. Recommend and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency and reduce latency. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, update all tools (Solarwinds, Netbox etc) and incident resolutions. Client Interaction & Consulting
Maintain client and operation team coordination. Train internal teams and clients on network usage and troubleshooting procedures. Mentor junior engineers and support staff to build technical capabilities within the team. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
