Network Architect Responsibilities
As part of a dynamic team of network architects, you'll contribute to the smooth flow of information by designing and planning computer systems networks.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineers.
Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and best practices for security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
Monitor network performance and capacity, identify potential bottlenecks or issues and optimize performance and scalability.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and future upgrades.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in network architecture, design, and implementation.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
Two of the most desired skills here are organizational skills and analytical skills.
Excellence in communication and teamwork is a must.
A solid knowledge of the theoretical basics of computer science.

Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
