Crescent Electric Supply Company . As an HR Business Partner at Crescent Electric, you will be the key liaison between the business and our People Strategies. You will act as a coach and partner to leaders and employees to ensure we create and maintain a great place to work by delivering on our strategy. You must be a proactive communicator and change agent, balancing employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions.
Primary Duties
Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs.
Create and communicate presentations to the business and the HR Team that enable learning, drive progress of the organization and deliver on our strategy.
Define and create documentation for promotions, transfers, and new hires in collaboration with managers.
Identify training needs and partner with the training team and leadership to deploy professional development curriculums that grow and retain our talent.
Monitor training programs to ensure that training objectives are met.
Deploy, coach to and provide input on workforce and succession planning as well as plans for business unit restructuring and optimal organizational structure.
Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to build a strong partnership between management and employees.
Partner with business leaders to build the culture, plans, and success measures that make Crescent best in class and a best place to work.
Drive timely update meetings to check in with each business unit.
Consult regularly with management and team members and provide coaching, support and guidance where needed.
Collaborate with colleagues across the HR department and other functions to develop policies, programs, and solutions.
Continually evaluate policies, procedures and processes for opportunities of improvement and suggest new strategies.
Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions and drive action.
Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.
Interpret human resources policy to employees and managers to drive to a best outcome.
Represent the Company on employment law, Worker’s Compensation, and unemployment matters.
Leverage the HRIS system as a single source of employee data and create/analyze reports to support business decisions.
Stay current on state and federal employment laws and communicate pertinent information to the HR team and management.
Ensure all locations have access to necessary state and federal employment law posters.
Qualifications
Associates degree in HR, Labor Relations, Training and Development, Business or related field and two or more years of related experience and/or training.
Strong PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and aptitude with new software and systems.
Current knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers’ compensation, union relations, and federal and state employment laws.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and deadlines.
Employment law knowledge and HR generalist experience.
Valid Driver's License. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Experience with recruiting, employee relations, and training and development is preferred.
Physical Demands
Ability to travel to branches and training, including occasional overnight stays.
Occasionally the ability to walk and stand; often reaching with hands/arms; most of the time sitting and using fingers/hands to type; speaking and hearing required.
