Overview
The Manager, Events is part of the Global JLL Events Team, and overall JLL business strategy aligned to meetings & events. The candidate will possess the ability to independently manage mid-range to complex event logistics, budget management and communications of internal and external (client-facing) meetings and events, including tradeshows. The Manager, Events will react with the appropriate level of urgency to projects or tasks that require quick response or turnaround. Key to the position is the ability to prioritize and self-manage multiple events in planning concurrently. The position requires knowledge of business development, project management, finance, marketing function and CRE. Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Ability to independently manage mid-range to complex event logistics, budget management and communications of internal and external (client-facing) meetings and events Ability to work with multiple stakeholders on events, in multiple locations throughout the U.S. Lead venue research for site selection/Request for Proposal (RFP) process Manage all contracting/negotiations with venues, catering, hotel, AV, and any other event vendors and will obtain JLL legal approval accordingly Create and distribute logistical event communications to attendees Lead all F&B/menu selection, developing themes, décor, transportation, and lodging Conduct expense tracking, budget reconciliation and archiving Develop and distribute event surveys, client follow-up and appropriate archiving of event and meeting related materials Support collection of event metrics, partnering with contacts as needed to showcase ROI Required Qualifications
5+ years in executing the full lifecycle of corporate meeting & event planning Must possess a professional demeanor, treating others respectfully Ability to work independently and take direction Strong prioritization and time management skills Desire to utilize technology platforms (Cvent, SmartSheets, Workfront) Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) BA or BS degree or equivalent experience Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), preferred Seniority level
