Healthy Kids is a provider of Early Learning, Before and After School, and Summer Camp Programs with over 100 locations. We are a certified benefit corporation focused on accessible and affordable childcare. We are seeking a dynamic Director to lead the After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year at Dorset Elementary School in Dorset, VT. Job status
Part-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule
2:45 pm – 5:30 pm Pay
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour Responsibilities
Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school. Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Ensure homework completion. Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with your direct report, keep them up to speed on daily occurrences and address issues in a timely manner. Work as a cohesive team to provide quality care and a positive working environment. Qualifications
Education and Experience: Be at least eighteen years of age, possess a BA, BS or Associate's degree, and have one of the following: at least ten months direct work experience with school-age children OR Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate OR Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential OR Vermont Program Director Credential OR Vermont Teacher Licensure OR Master’s Degree in a youth-related field. Medical: You’ve got a doctor’s clearance and are medically fit to perform duties and free of communicable diseases including TB. Personal: You’re warm, friendly, upbeat, with strong people skills; professional, reliable, and prompt. Physical: You’re able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. Part-time perks
