is seeking a skilled and motivated
Information Systems Analyst
to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $49.93 to $63.73 per hour. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements. Under the general supervision of the IT Manager, this position provides comprehensive information systems support to City departments and staff. The role serves as a technical expert responsible for evaluating, recommending, acquiring, and installing hardware and software; coordinating service, installation, and maintenance with vendors; and assisting with the development and administration of the information systems budget. In addition, this position manages and optimizes Microsoft Active Directory for Windows Domain Networks, utilizes PowerShell scripting to automate processes, and collaborates with stakeholders to implement and maintain effective IT solutions. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Support City staff and departments in the use of personal computers, telecommunication and network hardware and software; troubleshoot hardware and software problems; install computer, telecommunication and network hardware and software. Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program for computers, telecommunication and network systems. Assist in the coordination of systems analysis and optimization including upgrades, network use, shared databases, systems services and maintenance. Analyze information system needs; make recommendations for acquisitions, modifications and/or applications on a project, department or staff basis. Research, compile and analyze complex data and problems; provide technical and administrative reports; prepare written correspondence as necessary; provide periodic reports on activities; attend departmental, interdepartmental, project and user group meetings as required. Troubleshoot and resolve problems on the local and wide area networks, including five remote sites. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Determine the proper installation parameters for software and hardware for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network. Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016 or higher, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, patch management, enterprise class anti-virus software. Experience in MS SQL, VoIP administration, enterprise backup solutions, external DNS technologies. Understanding of virtualized environments, NAS, mobile platform support (iOS and Android). Experience with LAN technologies, topologies and protocols (TCP/IP, OSI Model, SSL, IPSEC, LDAP). Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration. Other Requirements
Sufficient strength and coordination for lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying the weight of computer systems equipment. Requires bending, stooping and/or crawling in order to install or repair computer systems hardware. Requires hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity for taking apart casings, installing parts and reconnecting computer systems hardware. Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills is qualifying. Equivalent to a graduation from a four-year (4) college with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration or related fields. Certificates in MCSA/MCSE Window Server and Azure PowerShell is desirable. Experience
At least two (2) years of relevant professional Information Technology experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the essential duties.
